Cleaning graffiti may require a variety of tools and materials depending on the type of surface and the nature of the graffiti.

Here are a few items  you might need to help clean graffiti:
1. Protective Equipment: Gloves and Goggles
2. Rags/Towels for wiping away graffiti
3. Scrubbing Tool such as a bristle brush or scrubbing pad

Surface Type:
Non-Sensitive - Raw Metal, Plastic/Poly, Glass
Apply a small spot of Houdini Graffiti Remover directly onto the affected area, letting it sit on the vandalism mark for 15 seconds. Rub or agitate gently. If the vandalism is easily removed, proceed to cleaning remaining area. In case the mark persists after 15 seconds, allow the product to dwell for an additional 45 seconds before wiping away the remaining vandalism. Repeat this process until the treated area is clean, applying additional product as needed.

Sensitive - Painted Surfaces, Signage
Graffiti is often sprayed on top of painted, silk screened or otherwise layered surface. Removing vandalism from these surfaces is often more intricate than other surfaces. Before using the approach from “Non-Sensitive” surfaces, first spray graffiti remover on a cloth and gently begin rubbing product on to a small section. Observe the integrity of the underling paint. If you are confident you are not damaging the surface underneath, proceed with removal of remaining vandalism. If you see it being effected by the process, proceed with caution or consider painting over the vandalism.

Porous/Rough - Rock, Concrete, Brick, Stucco
To remove graffiti from a porous surface, it is often necessary to use additional tools such as stiff bristle brushes and/or a pressure washer. Start by generously applying graffiti remover over the marked area. Allow 1-5 minutes for the product to penetrate the porous surface. Then, use a scrub brush to agitate the area. Finally, rinse the treated area using a pressure washer or regular water. Repeat this process as necessary until the graffiti removed.

Pro Tip: Certain applications might leave a white residue on the treated surface. To address this, simply use soap and water to remove the residue.
